Our Team

Chris is an Arizona native (ok, almost. He moved to Tempe when he was 1.5 months old.) and has been a CPA continuously licensed in Arizona since 1992. He has worked with businesses and business owners of almost every size but his passion is helping the small business owner grow and succeed.
Chris is married to Shelley Scoggin and they have 2 children, Stephanie and James that are now grown and succeeding in careers of their own. (One is also a CPA!). They also have 2 mischievous dogs, Daisy and Duke. He enjoys boating, fishing and traveling when his schedule permits.

Wendy was born and raised in West Allis, Wisconsin. She graduated from UW-Milwaukee in 1993 with her bachelor’s degree in business administration. Wendy has 27 years of experience in accounting and tax preparation, specializing in returns for our Canadian neighbors. In addition to being part of the firm since 2012, she is also a business owner, having her own trucking company and bookkeeping business.

Wendy and her husband Brad have 6 children and just became grandparents. They are gun enthusiasts, so don’t be surprised when you see Wendy in the office with a pistol on her hip. In her spare time, she enjoys working on her family tree, shooting, or curled up on the couch watching movies.

Chris began working at the firm in fall of 2010. He grew up in a small town in Minnesota and graduated from North Dakota State University in 2001 (Go Bison!). After college, he moved to the Phoenix metro area and then moved to Maricopa in 2004. He spends his free time watching sports and playing golf, and always enjoys a good happy hour.

Ashley was born and raised in a small town in the Black Hills of South Dakota. She studied at Southwestern Oklahoma State University and moved to Arizona in 2016. She has loved it ever since. In addition to joining the firm, Ashley has had her own bookkeeping business and has worked for various sized companies in the accounting department.
Ashley has a little girl and in her spare time you will find her watching her daughter’s activities (gymnastics, rodeo, and t-ball). She also enjoys playing golf with her friends and family, any water activities, and catching all the baseball games she can!

Shelley Scoggin, Billing and Collections Manager, joined CS CPA Group in the summer of 2020. Prior to that, she spent 17 years as a fifth-grade teacher at St. Mary-Basha Catholic School in Chandler. Even though Shelley is out of the classroom, she continues to tutor grade school students. She enjoys spending time with her two adult children, traveling with her husband, bargain shopping, hiking, walking and playing with their two pups, Duke and Daisy.

Billie was born and raised in Paris, Idaho. She moved to Arizona in 2012 with her family. Billie joined CS CPA Group in June of 2023. She previously worked for a company that specialized in retrieving Military Discharge Documents for Veterans. She loves spending time with her husband and three children. During her free time she enjoys arts and crafts, swimming, traveling and playing games with family and friends.
